About
The Rachel Carson Landmark Alliance (RCLA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of environmentalist Rachel Carson through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Founded in December 2013 and headquartered at the historic site where Carson wrote "Silent Spring," RCLA emphasizes awareness and action regarding ecological issues, particularly the impacts of pesticides on health and the environment. RCLA organizes significant events, educational initiatives, and collaborative projects that connect individuals, schools, and environmental groups to Carson's principles. With ongoing efforts to promote non-chemical landscaping methods and protect local ecosystems, RCLA serves as a critical resource for awareness and inspiration concordant with Carson's vision for a healthier planet.
